Our story
I was born in Maine to a strong Maine woman. She spared little time to have me ashore before returning to her rod and reel on the Kennebec river. As a native of New England with family rooted in fishing & boating, I grew up on the water. The ocean has been my life’s love since the day I was born, the day my Dad says he “caught two keepers!”
My passion for art began helping my mother hand paint T-shirts to sell in our family’s fish market/restaurant, "The Cod End" in Maine. Those days are long gone, but my passion for art has remained and developed with each passing tide in my life.
After living and working on the island of Oahu for 8 years, I learned to love the Pacific Ocean all the same. It inspired me with spirit and strength in a different way than the ocean I had known all my childhood. Emboldened with new colors and perspective, I strive to exude the joys and wonders of island life from near and far.
Aquahega represents all lovers of the ocean and islands. Every shade of blue and green, and the moments shared in between.
